Monthly Membership Call
Call Format:
The Monthly Membership call is a forum for learning and connecting with others in ways that enhances the depth of understanding of the material. It's a community of practice. Enrollment is an intention to participate for 6 months. Payment takes place through Paypal in 6 monthly installments. For whatever extenuating circumstances you want to disenroll, you are able to do that before your commitment is complete.
Calls will be through Maestro Conference and have a couple of great features that allow for engaging participation, including a visual interface on the web. The feature is called Social Webinar, and allows you to see who is talking on the call, through voice sensitive indicators and a photo of yourself that you upload. We also have the ability to have break out groups during the call so we can have small group discussions and or paired sharing as part of the learning process.
Maestro features a web based phone that you can use to call in at no charge internationally or you can use your skype or phone plan.
Calls will be recorded and made available as part of the monthly newsletter that will be sent out half way between each call.
There will be an enrollment cap of 50 people. As time progresses and participants engage in the material there will be new roles in the community of practice as facilitators in the breakout sessions and other leadership opportunities.

Why become a Connected Leader ?
You are likely reading this because you know it’s imperative that we rethink our human systems and their relationship to nature. The ecological resources on which we depend on for our very existence are being rapidly depleted. Humanity is responsible for this circumstance and you are looking for a way to join the change required to repair our life support systems.
How are we going to do this ?
Business, as a human system, is one of the most impactful forces on Earth. That's why I am focusing there. My vision is to help transition humanity and its systems, into connection with nature, in balance with the whole. Through the process of mentoring ongoing connection to self, others and nature, you will understand the true human nature inside of you. You will become nature embodied and act accordingly. You will feel empowered by your Connected Leadership and you’ll rise up like a Force of Nature.
I work with business leaders, innovators and influencers to shift the culture of business from its historical assumption that natural resources are lifeless commodities to be extracted for short term gain and long term cost. We need a system of mutuality where we realize we are all connected in a single living web. That is the only way we will create a thriving future for our grandchildren and the kind of world we want to live in. It’s large vision that requires large scale cultural changes at work, in politics and at home.
How is this different from other workshops and online classes ?
This mentoring journey of Becoming a Connected Leader is more like practicing martial arts or yoga than a tool you purchase or a course that you complete. Becoming a connected leader requires ongoing participation and regular mentoring that will shift your way of being. This will not be prescriptive, reductionist or deterministic in its approach. This will be a wide and systematic approach to connection in all areas of your life. Your home and personal life will invariably be affected since you’ll be happier and aligned with your true Nature. It's that inner alignment with your outer world that gives you a deep sense of meaning and purpose. The Monthly Membership call is a forum for learning and connecting with others in ways that enhances the depth of understanding of the material. It's a community of practice.
What is a Community of Practice ?
Communities of practice are formed by people who engage in a process of collective learning in a shared domain of human endeavor: a tribe learning to survive, a band of artists seeking new forms of expression, a group of engineers working on similar problems, a clique of pupils defining their identity in the school, a network of surgeons exploring novel techniques, a gathering of first-time managers helping each other cope. Communities of practice are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly. The concept was first proposed by cognitive anthropologists Jean Lave and Etienne Wenger in 1991.
Our main outcome that we will be intending are attributes of connection. For example a measurement of health and wellness through the practice of yoga might be flexibility and robust vitality. Connection awakens curiosity. Clarity emerges. Discarded passion and idealism are retrieved. Co-workers recognize a change and will seek your advice. Read more about connection here...

The membership consists of a monthly call with a network of like minded changemakers. Each call will introduce a new framework and a tool to apply in your personal and work life. There will be time to break into small groups and share the insights and challenges of integrating connection principles and practices from the month before. Each call will include live discussion and will model the daily routines of connection. Guest speakers will occasionally be brought in to showcase successful business integration.
The membership also includes a curated newsletter once a month consisting of news clips, research, articles, books and blog posts which will keep you informed about the cutting edge of Connected Leadership.
Participants who are engaged in the membership will be invited to participate in Leadership Initiation weekends in 2016 at an additional cost. From there the goal will be to foster regenerative leadership by training connected leaders to lead immersion experiences. In the summer of 2016 there will be a weeklong immersion that will be an opportunity to bring people in your areas of influence that will extend nature connected leadership deeper into society.

One on one mentoring with Mark is available at a rate of $500 - $1000 per month.
